Just started using the Bakers last week. I've got about 500 miles on them. You can open or close them as needed. In town you can open them all the way if you want. At Interstate speeds you can close them or open each side slightly. Whatever your needs are at the moment. Can't do that with DK or the Fork deflectors.

There's a thread going on the Touring forum about the Baker's. I'm glad I found them.

If you're running without lowers the Fangs work just great. Not too hot! I used them on my RK's and SG's in the past.

I only have sight in one eye. If my head starts bouncing I can't focus. I need to see to ride my 18-30,000 miles a year! lol...

The JES wind deflectors work pretty darn good. Iv had them on about 35,000miles. There black and the bike is Charcoal Pearl & Vivid Black. With the lowers being black the fangs are hardly noticeable. But like said they do work.
The Lower Triple Tree Wind Deflector is Gads but i dont think it does very much.

My point is IF your going to ride in the rain "heavy or light" the rain that is going to come in thru the vent is minimal..

That hasn't been my experience.

I think the DK's move the air to the engine, I get a glasses shake sometimes, and would like to limit the rain coming up from around the lowers, tnx for your response, appreciate it

I have 3 vents and not alot of water comes through any of the vents at speed. None at city speeds. More just falls behind or over the top. Worst thing is being caught out in a gully washer without a Full face helmet. No pain with shield down and better visibility.

When I ride in a heavy rain with the vent open there is a shower of water coming through the cowl vent that strikes me right in the bottom of the face shield and neck area. Closing the vent eliminates it. I rarely ride on interstates so perhaps at lower speeds there is not enough force to the airflow to push the water up over my helmet. If I remember to I'll see if it makes as much of a difference at highway speeds. I much prefer the kinds of roads you see in my signature pic.

I have been in a few Frog Stranglers, where the only dry spot was my seat.

I have also hit a bunch Bees, with the vent open or closed some stuff will find a way to hit you.

I guess I'm just lucky... 2014 Limited, and now a 2016 CVO RGU. I have never found a reason to close the vents. And believe me we ride. Boston to Montana. Tail of the Dragon. Nova Scotia, and this year Utah. We have been in rain where cars are pulling off the highway or parked under a bridge "which i don't get" there in a car.

Last year riding out to Montana we ran into rain so hard the weather band came on to warn of serve flooding, yet all three vents where open.

You have to do what works best for you..
Ride safe.
