RnR the ECM fuse to reset the device.. On Tmaxs when messing with the battery. You should pull the ECM fuse first and install only after the power is reconnected.

On off sequence.

After installing the fuse, make sure the throttle is all the way off and turn on the ignition for 30 seconds (make sure the handle bar switch is set to run) then off for 30 seconds. Repeat 2 more times. This sets the 0 throttle position. You can download the docs from thunder-max.com

Ok i'll try that. Wish I had the dang connection cable for this thing. I tried looking for the download docs on their website but they don't have it for this model since its older. I'm in contact with them through email but would be a lot easier if I could talk to someone on the phone.

My local indy had a spare cable that he gave me. I tried the 2 tunes that they have that is the closest to my setup. Even asked them through email if it was ok. They said it should be close enough. Getting spark on both plugs, I can hear the fuel pump working, and I smell gas after turning it over. Both plugs are wet with fuel. This dang POS just won't start. I don't even know what to try anymore. Being I smell gas, and the plugs are wet when I pull them after trying to start it makes me think its getting fuel. Guess I'll just pull the dang fuel cover off and pull the pickup out and see if there is anything going on with that. Other than that I dunno. I'll take any and all ideas at this point.

So you are sure the plugs wires are not swapped??

I'd check compression..

Did you hear it run or is it the owners claim.. Maybe there is something wrong with the build. A common issue is roller rockers or heavy valve springs. Both can hit the rocker covers and keep the valves from closing. What I'm getting is that the motor was built and had issues..

As far as maps go, about any map should get the motor running..

Another thing to check for injector wires swapped.

The plug wires are ran correctly. I've checked and rechecked.

Yes I heard the bike run. I heard the rocker arms making a louder (in volume) noise than normal. I pulled the rocker covers off, and checked the rocker arms. The bushing were worn out. So he bought new roller rocker arms. I installed those and a new set of pushrods since one of them was bent.

He messed with a Power Commander and I think that's what killed his ECM. I've got spark now with the Thunder Max. I was thinking the same thing with the tunes. Anything close and it should run.

As far as compression, I don't have a compression gauge but I did crank the bike over with the plugs out and it blows hard enough out the plug holes to blow your hair up.

I'll check the injectors to see if they are crossed.

The high lift springs were the ones that were already in it when it ran previously. Maybe the new roller rocker arms are causing the problem.

It's only got about a gallon of gas in it but, i'm not sure its a fuel problem since I can smell unburnt fuel in the exhaust pipes and the plugs are wet when I pull them.
