D&D Fat Cat standard vs. quiet baffle
Are the cores the same? I just pulled out my standard baffle and cut off the outer can, then wrapped it with fiberglass. Not as loud, and has a little deepertone to it.

Yes, the cores are the same. The only difference is the quiet baffle has a perforated outer can with packing wrapped around it.
I have a modified standard baffle just like you made sitting in my garage, been trying to sell it for a while.

Modified standard baffle was actually quieter then the quiet baffle. I only ran the modified one for a couple of days before putting in the quiet baffle. I bought my system used, and the modified was in there when I received it but he also sent me the new quiet baffle that I used instead.

Thanks for the information, took mine for a ride and it is a lot quieter then the standard baffle. I'm surevolume and tonewill vary with different types and amounts of packing materials, right now I'm just using fiberglass.
