California motorcycle smog check info

It's been posted a couple of times lately about the proposed legislation to mandate California's motorcycles to a biennial Smog Check Program. If you're interested in preventing this from happening and you don't have the time to attend ABATE's Rally in Sacramento, please stand up and be counted. Go to this site, fill out the form and it will automatically generate a letter to your State Senator, based on your zip code, urging him/her to vote NO on the bill. That would be Senate Bill 435. This legislation will affect any motorcyclist in the State that has modified their bike with, pipes, air cleaner, re-map etc. your bike will NOT pass the test. You will have to re-install all your stock parts every two years in order to pass. And if you sell your bike, the SELLER is responsible to replace everything prior to sale.

Yeah, why don't you ask the guy that refuses to buy an electric lawnmower? Just think, they have no smog checks and neither do BBQ's. All the state cares about is the money it can make on the renewal.
