Next day (Saturday May 8) the Mascot will be in the RVLC toy-run to ERLANGEN where we will visit a children's-hospital. Once that is completed, RVLC members will be going to the 74 or more MC to have a chapter meeting and socializing...
I really hope Airborne350G from Stuttgart will be able to join us on the ride to Erlangen as well!

The new dates have been processed into the HDForums.com Mascot European Tour Schedule:

Thanks for the support, Roel!
Unfortunately German Ladyrider cannot join me this weekend so I have changed the route to this
On this route (478km) the Mascot will travel through the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany!
I will leave Friday morning and meet Rick at Ramstein Airbase around 16:30. He's trying to arrange a dinner with his local HOG friends.
Saturday morning 08:30 "kick-stands are up" and we'll leave for ERLANGEN. Along the route other members from Heidelberg and Stuttgart will join us.
I'm really looking forward to make this trip!

Weather forecast stated I was going to have a clouded sky and rain in Western-Europe that Friday and yes indeed, that day of all days, the weather forecast was right!
Before I had left, Rick sent me an sms to my cell phone, ordering me to ride safe and preparing me for some rain in Ramstein, so I decided to dress up in rain gear before I left f 7:45am from Harmelen.
Man… have had some rain that day! Just 5 minutes after I’d left it started pouring cats and dogs which didn’t change until I reached Malscheid at the in Belgian—Luxembourg border crossing!
The route I took through Belgium and Luxemburg into Germany is in The HDF Mascot’s European Tour Map and will open when you click this link.
Here are some details on the time table and some images I took at the border crossings:
09:06am 1st coffee stop Leende (A2; NLD)
10:15am border crossing Eijsden: NLD ==> Belgium
10:24am 2nd coffee stop Évegnée-Tignée (E40; BEL)
10:45am border crossing Malscheid: Belgium ==> Luxembourg
01:00am tank stop and lunch in Echternach (N10; LUX)
On my first refueling point in Echternach Luxemburg I noticed German Ladyrider , like Rick, had send me an sms on my cell phone to wish me a safe journey in that crappy weather… Thanks Regine and Rick for showing your concern!
01:30pm border crossing Echternach: Luxembourg ==> Germany
02:15pm 3rd coffee stop Rasthof Hochwald-West (A1; GER)
03:30pm arrival at Ramstein-Miesenbach Air Base
Upon arrival I informed Rick I was at the AB West Gate. After some delay in the Rendezvous, due to a dead cell phone, 04:30pm I finally was able to shake hands with Rick and his wife Angie when they’d arrived on the FLHTCU.
Only a few minutes later we all left for my B&B in Schwedelbach, which is only a 5 min ride from West Gate. Rick and Angie escorted me over there in order to learn where I was staying and where to pick me up later that evening to go for dinner with some of the other members of Rhine Valley League Chapter in Ramstein-Miesenbach.
More to follow, so stay tuned!

It has several single and dubble rooms and even some family appartments to stay in. I was allowed to park my Dyna in the garage during the night.
Saturday morning May 8 07:33am I left this accommodation for the RV-point in Kaiserslautern, where I joined Angie & Rick and three other couples from RVLC.
Kick-stands went up as planned at 08:30am and off we went to the second RV-point at Rauenberg along (A6 exit 32), where we met RVLC director Garry Loper and his Heidelberg crew 09:27am.
From here 09:43 we continued on A6 to Crailsheim (exit 46) to meet the Stuttgart Clan and have a refuel stop.
I was hoping to meet Greg (Airborne350G) over there but he arrived just after we had left. Bad luck Greg, hopefully we’ll meet at another occasion!
Here are some videos I took with my photo camera at RV Crailsheim:
Departure of RVLC Ramstein crew:
Departure of RVLC Heidelberg crew:
Departure of RVLC Stuttgart Clan:
12:35pm we arrived in the Erlangen Assembly area where we had a short brake. For lunch I had a good cup of genuine German “Eintopf Suppe mit Schwarzbrot”.
More to follow in Mascot on the move part 3...
