I just got a new 2011 Ultra Limited this past weekend and wanted to know what highway peg mounts work well with the factory lowers installed. On my RKC I had the pegs on the crash bar but down as low as the mount would go on the bend going upwards on each side. I don't like my highway pegs high up top of the crash bar, too awkward for me to sit that way while riding.
I have the Kuryakyn Offset Duallies on my 2010 Limited and the fit great. They are infinitely adjustable so you can really tweak them exactly how you want them. If you need more length, the Longhorn Duallies should do it for you.
I use the short mount 50964-98 on my 2010 Limited. They clear the fairings just fine and the angle is adjustable via a setscrew. I had tried longer ones but they just extend too far out for me. I suspect the mounts from your old RKC would work just fine.
I have these, the slight arc helps get the angle I needed. You can use the peg of your choice, I use the large ISO pegs and put them where I can slide my foot forward and my heel is on the front of the floorboard and my toe is on the peg, or fully on the peg with a slight bend in my knees, or heels resting on the peg. I probably spend more time in the Heel on the floorboard position. Not that you asked..LOL
I had the same issue and I just installed the HD 50830-07A, short angled offset mounts on my 2011 SG with lowers. Was able to set them so they angled in toward the seat keeping my footing secured. I have them set so they fold up in the "cut out" area of the lowers and follow that same angle. I can also place the heal of my boot on the footboard and rest my toes on the pegs. They look and feel good to me. I'm 5'10 with a 30" inseam. Hope this helps.
I just added the long angled brackets to mine. Its what the dealer and book recommended for lowers. However, at 6'0 and 30" inseam, I would prefer the short angled as dc1057 used above... I set mine as low on the guard as I could and run them parrallel to the ground.

I have the HD 4" adjustable mounts and also keep mine low so I can rest heel on floorboard with toe an pegs. Hard not to find a sweet spot with this set up. Usually just have my heel in the pegs but switch to instep other times.

Thanks for your help.
Congrats on your new Limited. I have the Kuryakyn Tour-Tech mounts with Dually pegs. The arms wrap around the lowers. They're fully adjustable in all directions. I am 5'11" and I have the short arms.
