Outer primary oil leak at mid controls.

Default Outer primary oil leak at mid controls.
Have an '08 FXDC that has developed a leak around my mid controls at the outer primary case. Checked the factory service manual and cant find ANYTHING about replacing the seal. Checked with parts dept. at dealer and they cant even find a seal listed for the outer primary! Anyone have any help?

63869-06 is the gasket for the shifter shaft

Gasket? Thought it would be a seal or "O" ring.

Its called a tower gasket. Its wafer thin and adhesive on one side. It fits over the shift shaft between the inner and outer primary covers. Just pull the outer cover and you will see it. Just make sure you clean both the inner and out primary surface and then center that tower gasket as you apply it.

have the same problem, only with foward controls,going to change the cover to one without the hole in it,should fix it forever i hope,have to pull the cover anyway might as well just change it and be done with it.

I went to foward controls
I split the primary cover and used a pipe tap 1/4 or 3/8 and taped each side of the primary and put pip plugs in each side no leaks and did not replace the covers
