So I’m sitting on the couch with my boxers on (don’t let the visual disturb or excite you) listening to records and drinking whiskey. The dogs just got baths so they’re cold. One is half on my lap the other on my feet. Makes flipping records and refilling my whiskey less Ideal.
So listening to Elvis right now. Manly music preceded by Cash and Van Helen. I’m contemplating motorcycles as my mind drifts in/out of the tube rolling to chose the best compromise. I can roll for haunting eery smooth holographic highs or roll for stout bass and tight we’ll defined detail… trying to find the balance in the middle.
Sipping Balvenie 14.. not a huge fan but money spent.. the rested in Caribbean rum casks sorta made it sissy. But hey, we’ll drink it. Sure I have others, but get through the less desirables to save shelf space for the good. Flipped the record to the Sheep Dogs.. yeah I know, you never heard of them. Get your Spotify or pandora going cause they’re genius.
Anywho, Motorcycles. So much comes to mind when a fella thinks “Motorcycle” that can lead to gears and cogs and imagining your next build, it can make the mind go to destinations, trips, old friends, future journeys… been talking to a childhood friend who I rode with. We live over a thousand miles away from each other, know each others families. Miss that dude. He’s good people. Health issues are beating on him right now. Sucks.
So where would you imagine going with your longest childhood friend for a ride? Like a once in a life trip? Black hills? Ventura Highway/Big Sur, Tail of the Dragon, Route 66?
Time to poor some more of the whiskey for closet Can am riders.. gotta get back to some Glenfiddich. So googling pics of Big Sur and Black Hills…

A man only has so much self discipline to continue to drink whiskey ruined in rum casks… I just poured an 1.5 ounce of Glenlivet 18. Scotch is the answer. Belly has a nice grilled ribeye with sautéed mushrooms, onions and red backed potatoes. The trick isn’t in the quality of herbs.. nope it’s in the quality of the butter and balsamic vinegar.
Flipped the Sheep Dogs over.
