Default 04 fxdli gonna be a yard ornament if i cant get it runnning

Hello anyone and everyone i sure could ise some help with my 04 fxdli,,, it started out , when i hit the button it would start and rev to 3k rpm and stay there, i only have a front brake so 3k is a little fast to be tryin to turn a corner or stop, but anyways i looked it up it said clean the throttle body the map sensor the aic and throttle position sensor, i checked codes awhile after, i cleaned them as best as i bould with carb cleaner and a teethbrush, then i developed a vaccum leak so i replaced everything from plugs and wires toinjectors. To tps,,, aic,,, map sensor, fuel filter the regulator i put 12$ a foot gasline in the tank and on the outside didn't replace the inside line from filter to pitcock. New gas 3 different times, intake gaskets ,because of the vaccum leak, it was the hole the aic goes 8n, i smashed out the oring 3 times i changed it finally got that part fixed, a smaller thinner oring that fit down in the tb it starts and idles now but at 8-900 rpm and dies, it nackfires and pops and blows flames out the throttlebody, im lost anybodys help os appreciated, it still wont run good enough to ride yet

Welcome to the HDFORUM.

How stock OEM is engine? Does it have a aftermarket tuner on it?

Put a picture of the intake side and bike on here.

That 3000 could have been cables from throttle to throttle body.

That last idle statement you said in thread is too low for a FI Harley.

Sometimes with issues you have described, the motor needs the mechanical issue fixed by someone experienced. Then the items required for it to run need sorting out.

Good luck. lf and when you get it running, be sure to get the brakes fixed before riding it.

It's either VERY lean or you have a valve problem.

You need to check fuel pressure.. Chances are you assembled stuff in the tank wrong.

It's all correct I had to go back in the tank because that 12$ a ft gasoline busted open on both ends and was loosing pressure, fixed that, did spray test it's got a small vacuum leak on the intake I have to take it back apart and fix that whilst I was trying to address the vac leak the bar that runs through for the tps and the cables was/is broke right across the butterfly bolt hole I put some epoxy crap on it that sorta worked but the stupid little screw that holds the butterfly decided it didn't wanna be there anymore so it was sucking air there too. I put a bigger screw in it so far it's holding. But still backfiring and popping idles better with a little assistance, But still not back to normal,.

Where did the original little screw go?? Did it get sucked into the engine?

Probably holding an intake valve open!
