Hi all. I have a new 2026 fat Boy. It has the new 3rd Oxy sensor on the exhaust. Put Vance and H slip-ons on. Will not accept the tune and now has a code saying crank position sensor is toast. Not delivered yet. Power Vision tune attempted.
Has anyone had a similar problem?
Thanks
new 2026 Fat Boy 117 just uncrated yesterday, V&H slip-ons added. Attempted a tune. Took all day to d/load the tune and it runs bad. Error code says crank angle sensor bad. Not sure what else to say.
There is no back story.

Have them get the stock code restored into the ECM. If your problem goes away then its a PV problem.
First thing, reset evreyting by discontecing the battery for 10-20 minutes.
Next, Check battery voltage, you might have run it down below 12.7v so put it on a battery tender. Low voltage can trigger codes including crank sensor errors.
Finally, You might have damaged wires or partially disconted a plug during the slip on install. Go over all that.
Ride it, take it easy but ride it, it might figure things out and be ok.
You might have a bad crank position sensor. New bike = under warranty. Take it back to the dealership.
Are you in Austrlia or the USA? I know California touring models you can't chage the cam. Is it possible parts of Australia you have a no modification issue?
