I am interested in turning my 2018 Fat Boy into a bagger for daily driver use to work. And, if I go riding with friends on the weekend, I've thought about removing the saddlebag, which has me leaning towards leather saddlebags like the throw over ones. Here is a picture of it at the dealership.
I have found some saddlebag brackets and am trying to decide. Here are 4 brackets that I am considering.

Bracket 4 (Detachable ones from Viking Bags)
The first 3 brackets are nicely under $100. The Viking Bags detachable bracket is about $100. Bracket 1 would work, but if the saddlebags are off the bike, then I don't think I'd like the look of Bracket 1. Bracket 2 would be okay. Bracket 3 is a universal bracket; but, don't know if they would fit my bike and my bike isn't listed as one of the compatible models. I've been searching the internet and the forum for information on brackets and trying to see pictures of what people have done; but, not much luck. Bracket 4 would make things quick when I want to remove the saddlebags. What brackets are some of you using for throw over leather saddlebags that you are using. If you have any pictures of your saddlebags brackets, please share and let me know your thoughts. I am also looking at making the saddlebags myself, since I do some leather work.
Other accessories I want to update are the passenger seat, passenger pegs to mini floorboards, and a backrest for my wife. If you have any feedback on these, feel free to let me know.
Been hoping someone might have some input on which brackets to use. I've been searching the web for saddlebags and haven't come across any that I like at a price point that isn't over priced. And, I'm wanting to avoid cheaply made saddlebags. So, I am leaning towards making my own brown leather saddlebags now. Here is my first thought of what I leanging towards making.
