I love the look of the Sportsters with the King tank.. so I bought the Softy for the engine, rear suspension and 6th gear... I can make it look like a badass Sportster.. :-)

I had a Road Glide that I had to sell because of a layoff at work. Found a different career and a different bike. Found an affordable Fatboy. I installed a windshield, mustang seat, luggage rack and leather pro bags (all detachable). Now I have two bikes in one.

Never had a Softail, decided it was time and I liked the style of the Slim, I already have a Dresser so buying a SG or EG made no sense.

Hello everybody, glad to meet you. I am new on here and to riding Harleys. I had not ridden in about 20 something years . A buddy of mine bought a Superglide and got me fired up to ride. My wife thought I had lost my mind. I went and sat on several Harleys at the dealership pretty much decided the Deluxe was the most comfortable to sit on. I like the nostalgic look they have. It took me three years, but I got my license and bought a 2009 Deluxe, teal and off white, white wall tires , and a two up mustang seat, Vance and Hines exhaust with shark fins on the ends. I did not want speed, I just want to cruise around. That's why I bought a softail. Nice to meet you all.

Congrats on the deluxe and welcome to the STF (sof tail forum). Now let's see some pics of that sweet ride of yours.

Exactly. Told my wife I was buying a Cross Bones instead of a Road King and she thought I was nuts until she saw it.
