Default Saddle Bag Question

Just added a set of HD bags to my Softail Custom and like the looks. What I don't care for is the gap between the bag and the bike. Anyone have any suggestions? I bought the 53061-00B Locking Leather Covered Rigid Saddlebags.

Since you have the Custom...did you have to buy the hardware kit 90573-07 also, due to the extra wide custom seat?
I put these bags on my Standard...(with the 07 Custom seat) 90130-00D
The gap is almost non existent.

A set of these came on my Fatty when I bought it. There is a bit of a gap, but I haven't messed with it, simply because I don't want any rubbing to occur. I think they look great on the bike as is. (I did add the winged skull logos myself though...just to snaz them up a little...)

Added the same bags to my O7' as well.

I like the bags... they match the design of the tour pak I plan on getting as soon as the bracket is available. I wanted them to be detachable and ordered brackets with that in mind. Even with the detachable brackets, the gap is barely wide enough to get my fingers between the bags and the fender strut. Cleaning the side of the fender above and below the strut is a real bitch.

Old adage: Be careful what you ask for... You just may get it.
