I am in the process of kick starting the next transformation on my 2008 Crossbones. For this version I am going to go with either a set of Hollywood handlebars similar to that of the Softail Slim or a set of 14 inch Outlawz from Wild One.
I am pretty confident I can source the stuff for the Hollywood bars without much effort but would need a little more assistance when it comes to the apes.
Can you guys recommend a good manufacturer/supplier that I can contact who not only can provide a good quality product, but is knowledgeable enough to provide me with the correct length and fitment based on my intended set-up? I want something similar to H-D's black braided (Diamondblack) lines and cables and need them to fit 14 inch apes on stock Crossbones risers. I need to get something ordered soon so I can proceed with mocking things up once I start the major wrenching.
+1 on Magnum Shielding cables. I have the black stainless and they are nice. Mount the bars, then measure for your cables. I had to go +12 with my 14" Carlini's.
Interesting thing about Burly; I was on their site and for some reason any cables listed for FL Softails stated they were not for Springer models. I was confused given that cables are cables. I can compare stock cables from my Crossbones against those of something like a Heritage and they are the same part number. I sent them an email and haven't back from them.
Magnum Shielding seems to think a little too much about their product based on their pricing... Still, if they can get me what I need then I might give them a call.
