First I took the battery and had it tested Attachment 402332
And then took the bike and had it checked and every thing is ok ! I just replaced the stator and voltage regulator about 6 months ago . I must of have just got a bad battery .
raises a question?
Why did you replace the reg, and stator?
was it because of not charging?
Maybe you damaged the battery then ? just a thought
I purchased a Big Crank Battery from them a little over a year ago and the battery died I called them and they told me I was SOL there was a one year warranty buy another one! I am going to go to HD like I should have done in the first place at least they will last longer than a year. Sorry just really pissed
**** happens sometimes man...warranty is warranty , if it's up its up. I have seen many stories of stock HD battery going south and many of us have 4 year old big crank batteries. You never know but it sucks.

No the reason I changed the regulater and stator I was going a 2000 mile trip before I changed I had it checked and all was good but I didn't want to be 2000 miles out and then go out ! Been in the bike for 5 years
My bike don't set much I am in a MC and I put over 12000 miles on it this year . And on a battery tender through the winter .
Interesting, to me that sounds like you ride enough to keep your battery charged and even with a battery tender during the winter and your battery still failed, I find that kind of odd and I'd be wondering about it too if my battery only lasted 1 year, good luck.
I just replaced the battery in my 07 a month ago. As far as I know it was the original, I have only had the bike 3 years so is possible it was replaced previously. I have a buddy that owns a Parts Plus store and the battery is made by Deka even though it says Parts Plus on it same as Big Crank.

The stator and regulator are not parts that I'd consider changing in preparation for a long trip, seeing that it's easy and reliable to test these components - they're not wearing parts - what lead to this decision, and did you change other parts as a precautionary measure in preparation for the trip?
