Now I'm wondering if I may have an exhaust leak. After listening to numerous clips of true dual non bafflebaffled fish tails, mine seem extraordinarily loud, raspy and lots of popping. I mean it sounds like popcorn in a microwave.
Did you replace the gaskets? Which type? (I had issues with a single set of Screaming Eagle gaskets - re-replaced them with the OEM conical ones, and fixed the issue...) Did you re-tighten after a short ride? Did you also check the O2 sensors to make sure they're also seated and sealed in the bungs?
I used oem conical gaskets.I don't have O2 sensors. I bought plugs as I thought the pipes would have holes for them but they didnt. I'll recheck everything today and post up. Thanks bro.
Thanks guys. Checked for leaks and don't notice any. Put on the heat shields and had to remove the chrome cover on the coil..may need to notch or something. The big band clamp is in the way.
I boubought some baffles I'm going to run in the ends of the head pipes. Just some small 4" ones to hopefully bring the tone down and popping down a bit.
