#$%#@@! v&h baffles
Looked like an easy 10 minute job.... HAH!
Following their instructions, I went to remove the retaining screw... what retaining screw?!?!? Oh, I can see it... Under the heat shields.
V&H said they were exposed through the shields. I guess they forgot to put the access holes in [:@]
Great. Take all the clamps off, shields still wont come off like they say they will.
Ended up having to pull the pipes back off that I had just put on a week ago after spending an hour trying to get the shields off.
Anyhow, a 10minute job turned into a 2.5 hour job.
Good news is the sound seems much more controlled and livable for me.
Thanks, I feel better now.

Is there a big difference in the baffles and did you have to reset you EFI?
I bought the quite baffles too but never installed them. I have gotten used to the open pipes, although my neighbors haven't. I love the sound in the valleys and woods of Oregon.

Gimme a couple days to see.
I need to program my EFI, but I haven't yet. As soon as I installed the pipes, I knew I would want the quiets, so I ordered them shortly after.
I will be placing an order with FuelMoto on Monday for a PCIII. Talked to Jamie there and he will set it up for the quiets, and fuel economy. He said there was a difference in programming for the different baffles so I should wait until I figure out which ones I was going to keep.
The std baffles are straight through with louvers inside.
The quiets have what looks like an engine freeze plug welded to the leading edge and fiberglass wrap around the baffle. No louvers though.
They did some sound tests you can look at on there, as well as they guarantee'd they would fit in the standard longshots. V&H said they would not.
