Dude sweet ride! Most of my buddies ride metric cruisers or metric sport bikes. It's pretty rare to see a young guy on a Harley softail. I like my ride and they like theirs but we all enjoy riding. I look forward to seeing the finished product.
One major PITA your going to discover, there are some 94' only exclusive parts that are hard to find and more expensive.
I've owned and ridden a '94 Softail for 21 years now. I'm not sure what "exclusive" parts you're referring to, but I could make that case for ANY year Harley. Harley makes continuous small changes to the mechanicals year in and year out.
Despite this, I've never had a problem finding anything I need for my bike.
