It does not take much time. You can take the whole bike apart in under an hour. Most time is waiting between the parts to arrive or thinking to figure things out.

Well done. You are correct on the $ making. Salvage bikes are difficult to sell. Just enjoy it!

Of course there is salvage title on the bike. I have many with salvage title. Since I don't sell it does not bother me. Since I have to take apart a bike to do all the things I like, it makes sense for me to buy a wreck.

My brother in law did that with a 69 shovel back in the day. Made most of the parts in the shop. He put many miles on that bike.

I have to say that Heritage stripped down with no bags, bar, or windshield looks very bad ***!
