Very Nice Job, give yourself a big pat on the back for bring this bike back from the scrape heap.... I have been looking to do simular and have been on their salvage site, most unfortunatly are far away and I have not found a bike which interests me yet to travel far for a salvage bike. Are you going to let us know how long it took and besides the 800 what it took out of your pocket? What do you thing the bike is worth now?
For me its a hobby. The bike has only 7K miles and a lot of good aftermarket parts like Dacota digital, exhaust, custom trees, air intake, LED lights, fuelpak tuner, paint etc. In terms of money I spent additional $500 on tax, shipping, and commission. $250 on forks and tripple trees, $80 on front fender, $80 on progressive lowering kit, $50 on paint supplies, $100 to have tripple trees custom fit, $60 on fluids.
I have seen stock 2008 selling for $12K. Again I don't do it to make money and will never advise anyone to go in for money. Used motorcycles are a money loosing business for a private party!!!
This is good, so for a hobby and I like to tinker also no time schedule, you put around 2-3 grand in parts and your labor which in alot because we dont work cheap but work under HDs cost you did a great job.
