After how many miles do I need to change the stock tires? Since I am putting on new wheels, I was wondering if I should change the tires?

 

When I had my stock Fatboy wheels chromed, the installer highly recommended going ahead and changing the tires so you would not have to risk damaging / scratching chrome in the near future. The tires still had life but only about 30%. Depends upon the amount of life left on your tires. Change them.

I've heard about chroming the stock wheels? Where do I get this done? and how long does it take?

 

there's a guy on e-bay that sells chromed Fatboy wheels...

Those are only for the 2006 or older. Mine is a 2007. I've heard you can get them chromed though.

 

I got 3400 miles out of my stock Fatboy tire but I have the 150 widetire kit for the older models since mines an 02 it came with the 130.
