Hello to all.Trying to deciede on V&H Fuelpak or Dynojet Power commander. Who has had good luck with it out of the box. Thanks, tom. 06 heritage se slip-ons.
Heres my set up,
2007 Ultra
Wildpig slip ons, 1.75 baffles,
V & H Fuelpak, Map #BF-0520
K & N 3909 A/C
Runs great, runs cooler, plugs look great, no hesitation, no popping on decel, 37 - 43 mpg
I just put on a PCIII USB with a custom map loaded by Fuel Moto. Goes with my Rush slip ons and K&N Filter. Installation wasn't too bad and I eliminated the O2 sensors (Standard for 2007 models). Bike runs awesome...haven't had a chance to track gas mileage yet.
Stock TC88 w/V&H Straightshots, Ness Big Sucker and the PCIII... "plug and play" install using a canned map downloaded from the CD (no dyno)...2,500 miles later the bike runsand sounds great...gas mileage in the high 30's...no problems here.
I went with the PCIII and a dyno tune after researching it myself. Bike is awesome and the PCIII will give you more room to grow with mods if you ever choose to do so. One thing I learned a long time ago with everything you do do it right the first time even if it costs you more initially it will save you in the long run.
if your gonna spend any more go with terry components, its a closed loop system that will adjust your a/f ratio on the fly for different loads, 2-ups, and altitude and heat...... If I had the choice & wanted to spend the cash thats what I would have done...
dognut...there are as many opinions on this subject as there are chrome goodies in the HD Parts and Accessories Catalog! It seems that the PCIII is a very popular option and works very well! It appears as if all of the systems work well, but I think that the final decisiondepends on what you intend on doing to your engine in the longrun.
I installed V+H BSS with the Screamin' Eagle Stage I and the PCIII with a canned map from Fuelmoto. Eliminated the O2 sensors with this mod. Very easy and works like a champ! Bike runs cooler, stronger, and no decel popping whatsoever! These (exhaust and intake) will be the only engine mods I make...so for me the PCIII was a perfect choice! I have no need for a more detailed, flexible, or high performancetuning process.
