Now that's something I'm getting near the end of my bar install. Thanks for this one brah.

Fuel line or crossover? The fuel line already has a quick disconnect.

Talking about the crossover line. Here's the one I got boys. Works like a charm.

Seems to me like a longer piece of fuel line would need to be installed even with installing this, there is no way I'm going to be able to fit my big @$$ hands up under there to get it disconnected with the stock length of hose. I have had my hands stuck in enough places to know that when in doubt, stretch it out. Lol.

Lolol.

The space under your tank and the top of the heads can't be any smaller than mine. Take it from me, that piece works like a charm.

I don't know... It was tight quarters just to get in there to cut the line in half.. I might invest in a longer piece of hose, then run it close to the down tubes with zip-ties keeping it in place, and put the joint in the middle.

On a lighter note.. Since I am still waiting on the wire covering for bars, I at least got them ran through. Progress is progress.

Had Wild 1's on my RKC and they were great, but I looked at Khrome Werks after your writeup and decided that, for the cost, the 16"rs look too good to pass up. Also like the 37" width.

Looking sharp up there man - I'm enjoying the reading until I can get back to it myself. What's really killing me is all the great weather we've had...all I do is wander in and out of the garage and stare at the bike...

I hear you on the weather. Between the end of the semester, my dad passing away, and work.. It's been hectic around here. Snowing now, and the temps are dropping into the teens by the end of the weekend, but I'm happy that my garage has stayed in the 50's for a while now... It's inevitable, though. Soon enough it will be butt cold out there, below zero for highs.

I'm still struggling with whether or not I want to powder the front end or not. I think I'll ride it for the year after I get the bars and exhaust on, and see how I like it.

I'm glad my input helped. I have had the Khrome Werks 18" bars on my '71 XLCH, my '04 Train, without a single issue. They fit me well, the chrome is nice, the welds are nice, and the price is MORE than affordable. The way I look at it, going with Carlini's or Wild1's would cause me to lose $200+ in mods for other areas of the bike. It's a no-brainer for me. Besides, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Hopefully I'll get my wire coverings early next week so I can get the bars back on, and start putting the bike back together. Probably be a month or so before I order the 36" Samson's, but it'll get done. Thanks for staying tuned in, BTW.

Well, if there is anything good about working overnights, it's that I can get a lot done on the bike on my weekends - since I am up most of the night, and no one bothers me... I get to spend plenty of time turning wrenches... Although I think that it is going to slow down a bit now. Noticed today that my hands were numb for most of the time spent in the garage. Looking at overnight temps below zero again here in MN by Tuesday, with highs in the single digits. I managed to get the apes on and mounted, the throttle cables, clutch cable, and brake line ran. Still have to bleed the brake, but that is no big deal. Happy I went with the braided stainless over the black (I was a bit torn because I am still unsure if I am going to black out the front end in the future). As of now, I like how it's looking (but the bike is still torn down a ways).

For any of you who are wondering... Here is a list of parts w/ numbers that I have gotten since I pulled the bike in the garage:

Kuryakyn Velociraptor Air Intake (9512); Breather Covers (7791); Throttle Body Cover (7247)
Superchips Vigilante EZ 5842
18” Demon’s Cycle Chubby Apes (Khrome Werks 50-262)
Hill Country Customs 1” risers & Top Clamp (HC-15RK)
Burly 18” Cable kit (B30-1065)
Hill Country Customs Poly Riser Bushings (HC-HBB101)
Braided Wire Sheathing (PTN0.25BK25) (Inspired by Redbeard719's Springer build)
Black Avon Air Grips w/ throttle boss (AIR-90-ANO-BOSS)
Drag Specialties 3" Round Mirror (KA-26-BC428)
Headlamp/passing lamp visor-style trim ring kit (69734-05/69732-05)

Here is what is left on my list (and seems to be growing every day):

Samson 36” Longtails w/o baffles (S3-471)
Shotgun Shock
Progressive Monotube lowering Kit (31-2504)
Softbrake License plate relocation kit (Tail light housing: SB-TSH-N) Bracket: SB-SSLPR-DLX
21”x3.5”/16”x3.5” DNA Mammoth fat spoke front & rear (black rims/chrome spokes) 25mm bearings
Wide White Walls
Stretched rear fender
Cyclevisions hard bag mount kit (CV7206) (CV7273) (CV7293)
4” stretched hard bags (Ebay)
F/R Turn signal visor-style trim ring kit w/ smoked lenses: (69758-05 – front)/(69759-05 – Rear)
Front Fender Rail: 91080-93
Stretched Rear fender rail: 91402-00

61-62 Harley Tank Emblems: 61776-61T

Keep on keeping on bro.

I hear you on the cold temps coming back. Same thing is happening with the weather here in my area, the cold is coming back. This past weekend was amazing though we had two 50+ degrees days in a row. Allowed me to get a bunch of work done on my ride. I even got a chance to go for a short ride without freezing my ***** off.
