I have a couple cool helmets, but at this point I dont even feel like posting them - one is a full faced DOT / Snell etc. that I am sure sheep fkcur would love and the other is a super low profile 3/4 that is def not DOT lol

I'm not here to lecture safety. Personally, I think you should be allowed to do what you want to your head ... as long as you don't expect me or society to pay for it.
However, I have to wonder at the angularity of some of these new designs. In my day, it was thought that any angles on a helmet would cause the head to spin on impact, e.g. the Simpsons, which came over from the auto racing world, although strong & protective were not allowed.
For me, although things are getting better, I think there's always been a bit of a disconnect between clothing designers and average bikers, who tend to value practical and conservative things most. That goes across the board. It looks like now we have a generation coming out of fashion school who grew up on Power Rangers.
I prefer the simple retro remakes Buco and others are doing.
I can't find any good ones but there are guys in Japan making cool samurai mask visors. China, as ever seem to be on a campaign to cause as much brain damage in the USA as possible. H-D's own re-brands are disappointingly cheap but overpriced, I reckon ... and whose really taking the safety design of them forward? For example, I saw a strapless design prototyped but never saw it in the market ... and what I'd really like to see is a made to measure injection moulding service.
