have a 2014 heritage classic with arness big sucker, v&h slipons(slash cuts) and fuel pac3. Anyway, to loud for me so can I put stock mufflers back on even though the cats are in them?????????? Will I be sorry.?
Slipons arent real expensive. Try another set such as the HD SE ones. Then sell the old ones. I had these on an old bike and they were reasonable, but deep.

No problem with putting the stock mufflers back on.
With the fuel pac it just might run even better than it did with the V&H slip on muffler's. It will run a little bit richer than it did with the slip on's.

Yes you could do that but, you will generate more heat and it could be to quiet. Another option would be going with something like the thunder torques, you could go with the largest one that would fit in your V&H slip ons. You could adjust them to the sound that you prefer by riding a little, see how well you like the sound wait for them to cool off and adjust them some more until you get the sound that you are happy with.
