Dude!! Those fittings on the oil and brake lines look awesome.

One thing I noticed, your oil lines look really close to the exhaust, I'm sure you would have realized it if it was the case.

Anyway, stop screwing around with the paint on the tank man !! Hahahahaha.
And I like your idea of having two thanks to swap back and forth. That was my idea when I was considering going with that Cole Foster tank your are using.

Good to see you're making progress.

Thanks Alsin! Yeah the lines do run close. I'm quietly confident it won't be an issue as i find the wraps significantly lower the heat. Plus I had the pipes ceramic coated not just on the outside but on the inside too. Worst case is I'll run some heat shield around the hose for a few inches where it runs behind the pipe

Moving house this weekend so I had to pull my finger out and at least get it to a state that it can at least be trailered to the new place. So front and rear on properly and brake lines hooked up, bars on, clutch in and hooked up/adjusted.

Sounds like you should be ok with the oil lines and the heat.

Thanks MFC! That's really cool to hear man.

Cheers Alain. It's going to be full on, but plus side is it's made me jam a ton of time into the train, after this weekends all that should be left is hooking up the internal throttle, sealing the fuel pump back in, finish off the wiring and wait for the seat to come back from trimming....sounds too simple, must be more Im not thinking of

Hey Ash that's looking real neat and clean. Through a thread up, if you haven't already, I'm sure we'd all like to see its progress

Well after finishing off the ECM new location, I've just finished up putting the rear end back together. Just need to rivet the chain and get the fender back on. Various other bits and pieces sorted as well. Calling it a night, nearly midnight here. Night folks!

Might be able to find a used factory splash guard from a FLS. Seems like
a few think they're ugly & switching out for metal shield.

Just a thought...

With a swing arm mounted fender there is not a lot of space back there. The lower the bike the less the space so I don't think an OEM splash guard will fit. I think to save space a weather proof wrap will be best

My swing arm was modified so no factory splash gaurd will work.

I don't think a bit of fine mist spray is going to worry it, you can bet your **** it'd be water proof to some degree. After all Harley would have in mind when we wash our bikes, the ECM can and would get soaked in water, more so then it'd cope down in the splash gaurd area by the spray from rain as the seat doesn't stop water from getting to it from the sides, especially with a pressure cleaner which most bike shops use. If you submerged your bike through water then I'd probably move it. I won't continue to ride this through heavy rain due to having no air filter, light rain won't be a problem as it'll evaporate before going down the motor.
If it wasn't made to cope a bit of water over it, ECM's would be a regular replacement item. I wouldn't worry about covering it up down in there, it'll be fine man
