BR customs aren't an option as they went from $120 shipping to $450 in only a few months. Not paying shipping that's almost the same cost as the bars. I found a set I want yesterday and I've put an order in along with some cool retro grips.
Well I pulled the heads and manifold to get manual comp release (manual for less wiring and that retro feel) tapped in. While I was at it I thought **** it, I had them sent off to be ported, port matched and bench flowed. It's going to look the part, while also being built to handle more power along with some serious stopping power on the way, so why not more horsepower too
The oil tank, primary and starter has to be removed yet, then I'll be done with tearing it down and as parts arrive I'll start fitting it all up
Alain according to my post office here the other tank says it should arrive Monday. Though now the bike is striped down I'm not going to be able to decide on the tank until I've dummied up the rear and front end. Probably be at least a month away before I can do that due to waiting on parts from your side of the world
Here's a rough idea I snapped before pulling the top end off where I'll mount the new mini gaget with indicators

I might start wiring it in today
I'm digging that speedo job you got going. Wish I wasn't so damn afraid of wiring, I would have gone with something like that for my rocker.
Let us know how difficult that speedo is to wire into the hsrness. It's probably not too bad as long as you have the manual for your bike with the wiring schematics.
Ink, if you get around to it can you measure the overall length of that cole foster tank? I'm wondering if it's gonna be an issue with the wide glide front end on my rocker hitting it when it turn my bars all the way and fitting on the bottom with my Danny grey seat.

Alain this speedo looks a whole lot more quality in person, it really looks like a good bit of solid well finished gear. I have a good feeling the digital quality won't be a let down. You answered you're own question I think, if you got a manual for your bike, it will only be as hard as matching wires together. You could do that no worries.
The tank I'll get you some meassurements, but I'll tell you right now your front end won't touch the tank, I had my wide glide front end on with apes when I tried the tank first. Yours is raked a little more but there would be still plenty of room. It'd work with your seat too, the tank stops rabout 1/2 inch short from where our factory tanks stop, so you have 1/2" more room. The padded seats were always hard up against it if not ontop of it anyway.
Some rough measurements.
Top of tank length 19"
Bottom length 16"
Tunnel length 17"
11.5" at widest part
Rear width 2 1/2"
Tunnel depth goes from about 4" at front back to nothing
There's a number of these tanks for different models and I've noticed some have slight different measurements. If anything I'd read up on the description of each specific Cole foster tank you look at
The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
I thought your ride also had a wide glide front end but wasn't sure.
I'm gonna crunch some numbers and see if I can figure out what this tank would look like on my ride.
