Alain I have to agree this tank on the bike could be it, though the other tank is a shape I really love too. It's about an inch longer, a few inches narrower at the front and a little wider at the rear. Hopefully be here in a couple weeks.
I'm not prepared to do mids at this stage, but they will definitely be on the cards later on down the track
MackU Dragway Specialties make that seat, some one bought it first day I put it up for sale
I love the before photo's , Ink83, can you tell me which make and model solo seat that's in the before photo's?
Ahh. I see.
That tank you posted reminds me of a sportster tank, just bigger. Nice shape.
I slapped my wife's sportster's tank on my rocker and it didn't look to bad. Looked a bit out of place because it was a bit too small for the width of the bike (260 rear tire and wide glide front end). But on your ride, with thay springer front end and the 200 tire it might be the ticket.
Here's a quick pic of what mine looked like.
If you're gonna sell that cole foster let me know. I might be interested in taking it off your hands.
I'm looking forward to seeing the other tank on there.
Yeah I think rake, bars, forks, rear end, chunky or thin bikes all play a big part in if the tank would work. That's why I just bought it and had it sent over to see how it'd go. But you're right I think with the springer and the right bars it'd work on mine, it's just matter of will it work better then the cole foster. Will see
Oh and to let you in on the rear end, it's going to be a 230 on a 15x7. They actually measure a little wider then a 240 on an 18" rim, but I don't think it will be too wide for either tank.
Thanks again Mac for sharing that mini gauge, I've just put an order in for one
it was a sick build before you started! but its coming along nice so far. im looking forward to see how it turns out...
i was in a similar situation... i was really happy with my first build / phase of mods and debated going further, but i cant stop...lol. its stripped down getting ready to do all sorts of stuff! hope it all works out for you!!!

Thanks man. The wait on parts still yet to be made on your side of the world and the fact I work away week on week off means it will probably be a few months at least before I have it finished. Be sure to share those new mods when you're done though!
The swing arm I had widened and the spring seat I had made locally turned up yesterday. The 2" springs have been reset lower as I felt 2" was still too high. Hey after all there's still the rear suspension
Head out to work today for another week. The other tank and hopefully the digital micro gauge might be here by the time I'm back
Seat is not mounted in pic, just sitting there. There's are tabs to weld on, and I won't do that until I have the rear end on, swing arm fender mounted and tank chosen and mounted.
