I am nearing completion of this project. I have had a great time putting this thing together. There is a real sense of accomplishment when you do it yourself. As I am nearing the end of this project I can say that this bike has exceeded my expectations. I am very proud of the way it has turned out. I pretty much have her all put back together now. I just have a few finishing touches to put on. I am just waiting for V&H to send me the map for my FP3 so I can start her up (since I replaced the cam they need to make some adjustments to the map and they are closed on Sunday). Depending on my work schedule, I hope to have her running before the end of the week. So on the the mods. As you can see from the pics I now have the tins installed. The powder coating on the struts and turn signals turned out fantastic. I want to say a special thank you to my parents and my brother for the wonderful Christmas gift of the CVO Breakout Seat. I also installed an LED run/brake/turn signal under the fender. I just realized that I didn't get a pic of that so I will have to get it next time. I did make the mistake of placing it to far up in the fender and it wasn't very visible so I had to relocate it this afternoon.
This shot from the rear you can get a better look at the struts. I love the look of the wheel tucked into the fender with the shotgun shocks in the lowered position. I am excited to see how this air ride suspension performs. I have heard nothing but good things about it. From this view you also see that I have installed the Blackline tank console. This is a mod that I can thank this forum for. I did not even think about doing that until I started looking around here. Now I can't imagine the bike without it.
Just walking around the bike
Just wanted to show off the headlight one more time
And this shot shows a better look of the Blackline tank console. You can also see the flush mount black fuel cap and the combination Speedometer/Tachometer.
I know this bike is going to look even better once it is on the ground, but, like I said I have a few more finishing touches to put on.
Here is a pic with the boogey lights on. I went with boogey lights because that is what is on my street glide. I had them installed at a bike rally and I have been really happy with them. They were very helpful with the purchase of a kit for this breakout. I went with single color lights because I cannot imaging using anything but green on this bike. I did go with the iPhone bluetooth adapter for this kit. It seems to work pretty good so far. Since I used single color lights I wired the adapter in zones so I can just light up the engine, the front tire, or the rear end. I can also dim each zone to get glow just right. These pics are with the lights turned all the way up. I will be playing with the settings, I will probably tone them down just a bit to give is just a subtle glow.
Even though I'm a chrome fan, your bike looks really good.
I'd do something also to lower belt guard and sprocket, they're not at the same level of the rest of the bike, imho...
Great job! Stunning! The contrast cut pieces really flow well with the wheels.
That Kryptonite street glide is my all time favorited CVO color.
Great bike combo.
Curious what the production # is on your truck? mine is #486 on same truck.
Thanks! I thought the same thing with the contrast cut pieces. The Kryptonite Street glide was the base that lead me to do this project in the first place. My truck was way on down the line - 2042

Thanks. I used to be a chrome fan, I have chromed out a few in the past. In fact I still appreciate a chromed out bike. The inspiration for this bike was my Kryptonite CVO street glide. I just fell in love with the blacked out motor against the green paint. It was so different than everything else around here. When I saw the green on this Breakout I just knew I had to do the same to it.
The Lower belt guard is actually the gloss black lower belt guard, I just don't think it showed up well in the picture. I am more than likely going to put a swing arm bag on this side anyway just to put day to day stuff in. As far as the sprocket goes, I am still undecided about that. On one had it matches the wheels and kind of matches the Black / brushed scheme that I have going on. I do agree that it is not as flashy but I haven't seen anything out there just yet that makes me want to change it just yet. Besides, I need to leave me something to do next winter. Thanks for the imput though, I do appreciate all suggestions.
