Thanks JM and Buck. It's been fun and I am pretty excited about the way it has turned out.
I received the map from V&H on Monday and flashed the ECM yesterday. I am hoping the weather will cooperate very soon so I can fire her up.
I only have a few finishing touches left. I just got my roto plate in today and will be installing it this weekend. I actually liked the stock placement for the plate but I couldn't get it apart without destroying it to have the chrome part powdercoated. So instead I purchased a right side offset had it powdercoated and just flipped it over for the turn signals. The rotoplate will be an axil mount because I am probably going to put a swingarm bag on this bike. A few bolt covers here and there and she will be done.
Wow, your bike turned out awesome! I just installed the roto-plate myself, and am about to put on the Blackline. I love the look of the burst cover for the cams, and may have to steal that one... I didn't like the look of the stock green Breakout- but they way you've blacked it out looks incredible...
Well I am now finished with everything I am going to do (at least this year anyway). I have installed the pivot bolt covers (HD Covers) and the front and rear axil nut covers from Top Down Products. I really like these covers and I think they go well with all of the burst covers and the Headwinds Headlight. I have also installed the Rotoplate and the lighted plate frame. I am very happy with the rotoplate, great quality, great product. Also installed is the swing arm bag from Harley Davidson. I'm undecided about the bag, its growing on me and I feel like I need somewhere to put a little bit of stuff. I also took some pics of the LED taillight that I installed earlier. Today I received the Hawglenses that I ordered from hawglenses.com. I actually found them on this forum and made a last minute decision to add them. At first I was unsure if I would use them. I was worried that I would have decreased visibility from behind but after installing them I think I will have no problem being seen between the LED tail light and the turn signals with the new lenses. I started her up today. Man does she sound sweet. Between the Big Radius exhaust and the Cams, its music to my ears. I cannot wait to get her out for a road test.
I'll take some more pics when I get her off the jack and outside. I looking forward to it.
Bike looks great. Don't know if I missed it or not but what brand and/or part numbers did you go with on the LED run/brake/turn strip for under the fender? Thanks.
The kit is from Chrome Glow. I have it wired as Run/Brake/Turn. The kit comes as a Run/Turn but you can buy the upgrade to make it a Brake as well. There is a great thread that goes in detail about the install from Harley Charlie
Breakout LED Fender Brake/Turning/Running Light Installation
I don't know how to post a link on here but that is what the thread is titled. It works really well. I know some guys are just using this and taking off the stock turn signals. Its pretty bright but I like the idea of having the extra light back there and now that I have the turn signals powder coated they don't bother me any more.
Thanks Katienadine. That's exactly the look I was going for. She is off the jack now. Took her out side and rode her up the street and back. Hopefully it will warm up soon for a full road test.
