Since "Project Breakout" is an ongoing process I thought I'd post a pic of my latest addition. While at Myrtle Beach Bike Week, we saw these turn signal LED lights from custom dynamics. They are really cool. The LEDs are a white running light until the turn signals are activated, then the white lights turn off and the amber lights in the middle flash. I liked them so much I added them to all of our bikes.

Very tastefully modded; I love what you've done with the bike. I can only imagine the sense of accomplishment you feel having done all the work yourself. Between that and watching people's heads snap for a double take, you must be riding pretty high my friend...

awesome build thread man!...getting ready myself to do the same thing...had a couple questions on your build...on your tag light which brand did you use and how did you route your wire for tag light?....and when you removed your engine covers is it pretty straight forward ,drain oil and remove or is there anything to look for like things attached to covers that stay with them when removed?....thanks for any info and once again great build!

Thanks for the compliment.

I used the roto plate with lighted frame from top down products (highly recommend top down, fantastic product, fantastic service.. The wire runs up the swing arm. The engine covers are pretty straight forward but you will need a service manual for all of the torque specks. If you are doing a breakout, currently there is no transmission side cover that fits so you will have to have it powder coated (a service manual will also help here with removing and reassembling the clutch cable assembly to the transmission side cover, not hard at all). To change the upper transmission cover you will have to remove the oil tank and that is a PITA. Worst part of the whole job in my opinion. The upper rocker box covers are really easy, the lower rocker box covers are also pretty easy but you will need a special torque wrench to fit under the frame and a service manual is handy for instructions on removing and reinstalling rockers. Keep in mind you will need to remove the tank. If you are changing all of the covers like I did, then I would recommend that you go ahead and change the cams at the same time. While you have the cam cover and the rocker covers off the cam change is really easy. Once again you will need a manual (I guess your starting to see a pattern here) and some special tools, but the tools are not super expensive and sone people have had good luck selling them when they were done (I kept mine because I may have another project in mind for next winter). I hope this info helps. Feel free to ask as many questions as you want (it's my turn to pay it forward for all of the help I recieved from this forum). Good luck with your build and be sure to post up some pics.
