I have an 02 heritage softail classic fi. I want to add a key fob (I think it's called key fob). I want to add the wireless device that allows the bike to run while I'm in range but will shut off when I'm distant from my bike. Do they make something like this to add on to an older model?
You are looking for a HD Security system. I am not sure of year that they were introduced. They will not shut down the bike once it is started when you walk away, but will not allow bike to be started when Fob is not in range. The Fob is just a part of the Security system that needs to be within range of the bike for it to start. It is like an engine dis-abler system and can have another module added on for a siren.
I have the full system with alarm, siren and pager on the Fat Boy Lo.

Reason: addition
I installed the Hands Free Security Module (HFSM) on my 2008 Night Train, with the Smart Siren, did the password learn, then took it to my local dealer who assigned the two FOB's to the HFSM.
Heck yeah....I'm glad there is still that option for my model. Thanks for the help....I'm glad this forum blew up....I've had others with nothing but crickets. Thanks for all links and help to everyone
