Default Any tips on installing Dynojet Autotune on a softail?

I am about to install an Autotune on my bike. I have to drill the O2 bungs in exhaust pipes (Vance and Hines big radius) and route the wires back to the battery box. Anybody have installed pics on a softail or have any tips for the install?

I actually started dis-assembly of my bike tonight. Pipes off, ran the wiring for the AutoTune O2 sensors down the lower frame tube with the main wiring harness back to battery box. I have been trying to find a good place to mount the AT Module out of the way. I had a look at all possible places that it would stay dry and not be in the way. On top of the battery is not an option. By the looks of the Fat Boy Lo, I have room to mount it down between the back side of the battery and the rear fender and still be able to get the battery out. My only concern is making all of the extra wiring that goes along with it neat and tidy and out of the way.
O2 sensors go into the new pipes in the morning and then the fun begins. Pipes are Bassani Road Rage 2 to 1. Bungs are already 18mm. I have all my winter mod parts here now.
I believe the hardest part of your install will be adding the 18mm bungs. The rest of the install is a piece of cake. Just takes time to run all of the wiring neatly.
Make sure you use dielectric grease in the connections to keep them sealed, keep the wiring away from areas they could get melted, tape up and seal the old connectors and anti-seize on the O2 sensors.

You spent all that time writing that and I haven't been able to get past the blonde next to your screen name. Thanks for taking the time. My kit gets here next week, hopefully it will go smooth. Any pics of your wire routing?

I had the PV and AT on my Street Bob as well. It was much easier to place it under the seat on a Dyna.
The AT unit was destroyed with the Street Bob. I still have the PV and had it reprogrammed for the Fat Boy Lo.

It should go smooth for you, like I said, the hardest part for you is the install of the bungs.

I did not take pics. kinda tough to see where I ran them. It is very simple, from the front follow the wiring harness that runs down the frame tube (exhaust side). Wiggle it into the zap straps for harness or just zap strap it to harness. Do not tighten the zap straps until your O2 sensors are connected and connectors are placed where you want them.

I ran the wires last night after I got the exhaust off. Left wiring loose so that I could take up slack or pull some wire back to allow the O2 sensor not to be pulling on the wire.

I put the Road Rage on today and the RSD Turbine. Took my time, stood back looked, drank beer, did some more work, repeated steps...

I am connecting and securing the AT tomorrow, as well as programming the the PV and bike.

If time is available, more parts to add.

This is the second bike I have put the PV and AT with wide band O2 sensors on. I checked out the Bassani's to make sure the 18mm O2 would fit before I ordered them.

I do like the PV and AutoTune Pro. Gives you more functionality and is fun to play with.
Fuel Moto has great support and are great to deal with. There are also quite a few knowledgeable members here that are more than willing to help out.

I also like the new FP3, but it is limited as to what upgrades you can do to the bike at the moment.

Here is a pic of under the seat that I took after installing the AT module and re-arranging all of the wires.

One more thing, you will need to switch off closed loop, adaptive control, heated frnt and rear O2 sensors in your tune. If you don't, you will get O2 engine codes while running wideband O2 sensors. If you go back to running narrow band sensors, you have to turn everything back on. Jamie from Fuel Moto just fixed my tune so bike does not throw anymore O2 error codes.
