Exactly, this is why I was surprised to see that Village Idiot dropped it 2" and plans on going another 2...

I just want to level mine out up front. I was planning on standing the bike upright on the stand, taking a measurement at the lowest part of the frame in the rear, and doing the same up front. The difference should be the amount I need to have the shop take out, yes?

With the SS shock in the rear lowered at comfortable ride height and 2" drop in the front the stance will be pretty level. With the rear slammed you will never get the stance level unless you find some way to add air ride to the front shocks like they do with the baggers. I ride with the bottom of the rear fender at about the bead on the rim. Roughly 3" drop in the rear.

You could put the bike on a trailer and ratchet strap it down measuring until you get 2" then get your frame measurement.

I plan on adding the SS in the rear eventually. Right now it's lowered 2" in the rear with bolts, which is how I bought it. Ride isn't too bad so I left it for now.

Good call on the straps and the trailer; maybe I'll give that a try.

It still sits a little too high for me. I'm probably getting new forks in the future, so I'll have everything set up for a better ride as opposed to slammed OEM forks. You can see my bike in my sig and how the frame it raked with it slammed. When I'm not on the interstate I usually don't sit much higher than that when riding, so it still looks raked. I'd personally like it a bit more level. Not to mention a 19 to 21 inch wheel will raise it up a little.

I lowered my bike 2" both front and rear , mainly because I'm short 5'-5" , but I REALY like the slammed look as well . Do it you"ll like the look
