Default Lower Front End Too???

I'm considering adding Shotgun Shocks so I figure as long as I am at it during the Winter I would upgrade the Front End with some Progressive Monotubes. Does it make sense to go with the Lowering version? 1"-2".

Ground clearance is not an issue for me as far of flat footing (I'm 6'1") so it would be more for appearance but I want to be sure Im not sacrificing ride stability or comfort.

I lowered the front of mine 2" the same time I installed the SS shock. I'm 6' tall and have noticed no handling issues, but the front is a lot stiffer riding. By a looks stand point it looks better slammed with a 2" drop in the front also.

Thanks, I kinda of thought that would be the case. After searching and reading a ton of threads it looks like I need to shorten my kickstand too. It's like a domino effect but I guess in the end it's worth it..

It'll prob look great on that bike.

Down side is it'll turn in a little bit slower but thats negligible.

Depending what you weigh, it'll prob make a tremendous difference in the ride.

Properly sprung suspension is a game changer.

I have no issue with the stock jiffy stand. You will have to watch which way you park on inclines whether you get a shorter stAnd or not.

I didn't lower mine, so you don't have too. It does look better though.

Also think about adding some Ricor Intimidators

So are the Ricor Intimidators in addition to changing the suspension to Monotubes or instead of?

Is that a whole other debate?

I went 2" as well. It's not enough. I'm going to go another 2" when I get the new wheel, but it will end up being 3" lower over all with the wheel size change.

Why is the 2" not enough? I think I found a shop that will handle lowering the inverted HD forks I have on my bike and help me level her out; just want to make sure I do it right the first time because it's not a simple swap in/out springs for me...

If you go any lower than 2" Echo you will end up with about zero rebound in the shocks producing a very stiff ride. I have the heavy fork oil with a 2" drop on the front and it is stiff up front.
