Install HD Security System on a Heritage
Hello All! I recently purchased a very low mileage 2013 FLSTC, absolutely cherry, but without security/keyless ignition ( I'd love to have ABS, too, but that's a story for another day). I've read the service manual, and in Section 7.5, there's the following comment:
"All replacement BCMs are configured for keyless ignition."
There's no mention if the OEM BCM's are so configured, and if so, CAN they be configured to work with a Fob? or do I need to purchase an HD Smart Security System in addition? The service manual is far from clear on this. Can someone please elucidate?

Did you end up doing the smart alarm on your Heritage? Do you still have it?
I just picked up an 09 and this thread came up in my search so i thought i would ask.
