Let's clarify this...It's not a trim ring, it's an adapter ring. These where not made specifically for a HD motorcycle.
HD specifically makes the motorcycle to fit standard 7" round headlights....I was worried about this very issue...the JW light went right on just like stock...no worries
So - Now that I'm ready to do this upgrade - Do we know if we need the Adapter ring for the Heritage {2013}? Only $52 ~ But it would be stupid to waste the money - Thanks

Some fella earlier on said you didn't need the Adapter Ring Kit. I would suggest just buying the 8700 Evolution 2 and see if it works as a complete drop in. Then YOU can let us know if the Adapter Ring Kit is required along with the harness from HD going from the OEM plug to the 8700 Evolution 2 pigtail.

Too Funny - Would not be the first time in my life that I was the "Test Subject"
OK - So Test Boy I am! As I had a $20 Amazon gift card....$315 delivered. I'll post when it arrives if it's a drop in fit on a 2013 Heritage....wish me luck. LOL
Does anyone have a Harley p/n for the harness needed? I am interested installing this on my 2012 Fatboy Lo. Also just checking those buying on EBay is this the light?
