14 FatLo. Dropped in the evo2 with ZERO issues. No fittment issues no code issues , nothin! . LOVE the wide beam. I ride the highway frequently at night and it's awesome. Got it from Amazon last year for 260$. Plus I got it in black and it looks great.
Since this thread has a few years on it now just wondering how you guys with the JW Speaker Evo 2 are feeling about them still, any issues, how they holding up? I'm about to pull the trigger on one since I dropped my headlight this weekend while working on horn wiring @#!!$, tell me whatcha think?
I loved the EVO2, but it's really a general purpose LED vehicle headlight. When I took a sharp turn the cut-off pattern left me riding into the dark. Speaker came out a few months ago with their new "made for motorcycles" adaptive LED, the 8790, and boy oh boy what a difference in the turns! (They have a video of it in action) It's #$&@! expensive, but it works. I know people here will **** & moan about the cost, but how much is a trip to the emergency room worth? List is $799, but it's available from DCP for$640, which is only $41 more than what HD wants for their 7" Daymaker with a crappier warranty!
Can any one tell me how to get the light to come that includes the subtle rear-lit Bar & Shield logo that glows while the ignition is in the accessory switch position? I have have purchased the daymaker p/n 67700265 to include the wire harness p/n 69200897. They were installed but the subtle light will not come on while the switch is in the accessory position
Anyone found a fix for the trouble code "b2136" that's cause by switching to an LED headlight? I recently picked up a LED headlight from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DP9EQQG...+led+headlight and my security light started turning on along with the dreaded b2136 trouble code and clearing it does not work as it eventually comes right back. The headlight came with a anti flicker capacitor that I installed to see if it would help but unfortunately it didn't do squat to the issues my bike is having.
I'm in the process of returning this product and will be looking into picking up a JW speaker 8700 evolution 2. Now I just need some help in figuring out how I can avoid the same trouble code issues when I pick this up.
I ride a 2013 softail slim and this model uses can bus, so would picking up a load equalizer be redundant or will that be the magical fix that I'm looking for?
