So much back and forth, I think this is what I am coming to understand.

If you have the stock light bucket this light drops right in.

If you have the nacelle with HD's LED, this light drops right in.

If you have the nacelle with the stock light, you need the adapter ring.

Right?

Have a question for the guys that have this installed.
Im getting a red indicator light on on the speedometer when I have the low beam on. The indicator light goes off when in high beam.

Anyone care to shed some light (no pun intended) on this?

====== UPDATE=====

Did the DTC Code diagnosis and looks like its throwing a BCM b2136 Code.
I believe the computer is not recognizing the LED light and thinks my low beam light is blown.
I tried clearing the code but it comes back.

Any ideas? Thanks

You might need a voltage regulator. Because the LED draws less power, the computer thinks it's too low to be a working headlight. Here's an example that shows up under "frequently bought together" with the JW Speaker version of your headlight:

Thank you for your reply nd info.
I just ordered them and will give this thread an update. My only concern is that looking at that harness, it looks like it comes with 2 female plugs. I'm probably going to have to make some adjustments as the LED comes with a male plug that plugs into the female HD wiring.
Always something.... Plug and Play are rarely that, more like plug and pay.

Here's an update.

I did end up purchasing the amazon anti flicker module
Amazon.com: Truck-Lite 98630 LED Headlamp Anti-Flicker Module Harness - PWM Pule Width Modulation Adapter: Automotive Amazon.com: Truck-Lite 98630 LED Headlamp Anti-Flicker Module Harness - PWM Pule Width Modulation Adapter: Automotive

After plugging everything in, they issue is now reversed. When i ride with the low beam, i have no issues. The second i flick the switch into high beams, my engine speedo indicator light goes red. After doing the diagnostic, its now throwing a different code that now states my high beam light is blown.
Im content with that for now because i mostly ride with the low beam which keeps the engine speedo light off and happy.

I have yet to find the correct transistor pigtail adapter that will alleviate the issue all together.

Overall, i am pleased with the amount of light this light emits and the overall look of the headlight. Not sure if its worth always knowing in the back of your mind that the minute you flip the high beam on, the computer will throw a code which will keep the engine indicator light stay lid red until you clear it yourself.

*** Have i known then what i know now, i would have paid a bit extra and purchased the HD Daymaker LED Light.***

Just a heads up for anyone interested or that is subscribing to this thread.
I ended up getting rid of the JW Speaker Headlight because of the issue with the indicator light constantly staying red on the speedometer.

I did purchase another DayMaker type light from Amazon. Works like a charm, comes with its own LED Canbus relay. A truly plug and play headlight. No issues with indicator red light on speedometer, no codes issues. Light is very very bright at night. I can't tell any difference at night between this light and the JW Speaker. And its very reasonably priced, in my opinion.
Here's the Amazon link below if anyone is intersted.

I still love the Evo 2. Been driving quite a bit at night lately and it really puts out a nice wide light with good throw. I still recommend it.
