Fenderless...

Fenderless...
Had a little time this afternoon so I broke out the wrenches...
Seen a few pics of it done...but nothing like seeing it in person.
4 bolts and two electrical connectors and I was holding my rear fender in my hands...
This was just a test...I would need to locate a good battery cover (probably Shadetree) and add some turn signals.
I love the fenderless look...my only concern is the "cliff" from the top of the seat straight down to the tire.
I installed the fender back on... surprises me that the torque spec on those bolts is only 38-42 ft-lb.
Thoughts on the look?

looks good fenderless. but as stated its a mess. If you ride in groups you will probably get a beat down eventually. I also dont know the laws around the world but i know we are required to have fenders here. back in my sport bike days a buddy of mine hauled his bike in to ride with us and got pulled over in less than 5 min for not having a front fender.

I like the look, but if you are going to go fenderless on the rear, I'd do it on the front as well. I also agree with the person above who said you may want to go with a swingarm-mounted rear fender and no front fender or minimal front fender. If you ride in the rain or even on wet pavement at all, you will be thankful for having fenders...
