Last August we booked a place just outside of Deadwood for the bucket list. There will be 5 of us heading down from western Canada for the week leading up to the event. Any softail regulars here going?
If so, maybe we will buy you one of those 4% American beers:P
I'll be heading there from Central California, and taking a detour through Missoula to see family along the way.
I'm just a recent softtail owner tho. It's an '06. It'll have to prove itself reliable before I consider taking it. As of now, I'll be on my Triumph Bonneville.
The 4% beer.....thanks, but no thanks. I'll buy my own. I like my beer "dark & chewy!"
ME ME ME ME ME!! That would be cool to meet early in the week. Get a group together. And Deadwood works for me.....Beer and Bikes don't mix well for me....but for free......LOL
Hello Hey joe wanna give it a go? some year I'd like to do it maybe this might be the year. Any takers from Long Island. ride the whole way, no trailers.....

im working my *** off now to get everything in line for me to go. ill be coming from AZ. si lets hope i can pull all this crazy work load off and make it
So, Good News ~ Bad News ~ Good News.....I've had my reservations since the day after the last one! As the wife is coming this year, no camping out at the Chip. Get to stay at a Hotel with indoor plumbing and Free Breakfast!!! As I get older, this Hotel thing is sounding kinda nice.....
I'd love to go back. My first an only Sturgis trip was in '05 - total mileage round trip from ATL and back was about 4k total. Love riding out there and back but I'll probably be trailering the next time.
The only thing that bothered me when riding out there were the deer. During the day I had multiple deer jump out in front of me but thankfully I was going slow. I was scared shitless riding back to camp at on the highway between Sturgis and Rapid City where were staying.
Wish I had a better memory but think I've only missed 5 sense 1980. Just one of those things I like to do. Will be heading out from Az for a change though. Been coming from Ak for 30 some years and in retirement I bought a house in Az so different scenery for sure.
Kinda strange but we leave for Daytona Bike Week one week from tomorrow and I am already looking forward to Sturgis!! Been going every year since 05 I think.
