Default 23 on a Fatboy lo

I'm looking to run a 23x3.5 and an 18x5.5 on my 2012 Fatboy lo. Ordered the burley slammer kit to try and make up some of the height difference up front and out back. I had read in the past that people have gone as big as a 23 up front without changing the rake on the bike. Am I remembering this correctly. Hopefully. As I am already looking to break out the deep pockets for the wheels, tires, pulley, and rotors. And I'm looking to go fender less for a while abyways.

Am I missing anything else while I am on a this subject. Just looking for some answers before I finally pull the trigger this weekend. Thanks in advance

All I can say is...do it!!!! The 23 doesn't require a rake on the fatboy if I remember correctly. But it will sick as hell. I promise, you will not regret it. What wheels are you thinking about getting?

Not a Fatboy but I fitted a 23" on my Road King. I could have just fitted the wheel and wiggled the fender a little to make it fit the cheap way (seen instances like this), but I knew it would look like a guy wearing a overcoat 3 sizes too small...lol

So decided to do it properly and use raked trees and new fender, well worth the extra expense

I think it will look killer. I have a 23"PM Heathen on a Slim.

i think the 23" wheel looks nice but alot of the ones that i see with lowered forks appear to have vary little space for travel. i would think the front end would almost feel like a ridged. i want to do this swap on my bike but think i will stick to a 21" wheel for what appears to be a better ride. i hope someone can chime in on this.
