>>> People like you make me want to buy a metric. <<<

You probably should...perhaps you'll save enough to attend remedial english classes.

Good luck with that GED exam...you're gonna need it.

I have a question for all you solo seaters. Wouldn't look funny with the rear pegs in place with a solo seat? This is one of the reasons I haven't bought one yet. The other is the sissy bar on my ST Custom, what do I do with that? Scoot looks good!

Nice seat Faction95 and LOVE THE BARS!!!! I actually want to know the size and brand so I can upgrade mine.
I have a LePera barebones with gel insert. It's actually comfortable considering how thin it is.
I still have the passenger pegs when my wife wants to ride on the suction cup pad now and then.

I used the stock pillion bolt for my BareBones, put a chrome plug where the pillion bolt went in. I also bought another what-cha-ma-call-it to go in the hole where I secure the BB, so I don't have to switch out when I go 2-up.
and didn't do anything about the two holes from the stock seat...make sense?

ORIGINAL: clueless

Faction - Sent ya an Email

question for ya:

1. what did you use for the single bolt to hold down the new C&C Seat? I see a plugged hole in my FatBoy Fender. but what did you use to mount there?

2. what did you use to plug the two holes left when you remove the OEM factory bolts that held down the stock seat?

3. anyone know what size / thread the passenger seat bolt is so I can get a lower profile chrome or black screw to plug the passenger seat bolt?

Faction, you got a bargain. $200 for a leather seat, in UK pricingterms that's almost for free. Leather looks somuch better than vinyl and as the years go by, with a little care, will outlast vinyl - enjoy it!!

1: I popped out the plastic plug from the underside of the fener with a screw driver. I bought the mounting hardware ($2.50)which is the exact same hardware is what is in the rear hole where you screw the stock pillion in.

2. The solo seat covers the 2 holes where the stock seat was fastened to.

3. I bought some plastic chrome cap that screws into the pillion hole. It was $5 from the dealer!!

Thanks jhogan20 the bars are Wild1 Chubbys 16"

As far as a solo seat looking funny with passenger pegs on...

I left mine stock so they are small and black and don't stick out. I also left them on in case I want to take my wife or son for a ride. I will just throw the stock setup back on.

thanks ! exactly the info I was looking for. I have my C&C Solo and Pillion in the garage waiting to install it this weekend[sm=biker.gif] I went with Vinyl on the sides because thats where the stress is. I could have done leather but looking around everyone uses Vinyl on the stress points even leather car seats are vinyl on the sides. Leather on the top with a nice Ostrich pattern [sm=smiley20.gif]

now just need to make a quick pit stop at the dealers to pick up those parts... do you have the Harley part numbers for the Pillion Mounting hardware ($2.50) ? not a big deal but just easier to ask for a specific part number

also I worry about water getting up thru the old OEM holes left from removing the stock seat bolts that are covered over by the seat. thinking I can find some foam or rubber to plug the holes.
