Wiring one up to my 07FXST and dont seem to be getting a good signal. Only 3 wires to hook up so hard to screw that part up. Had my dealer pin in a wire to get tach signal from the harness under the seat. Raptor said to set it to 1/2 dip switch configuration, which i did. Problem is ligh just stays on all the time. Set rpm to 1500, for testing, which at idle should be off. Per my shop manual hole 3 is the one to get tach signal.

Anyone hooked one up and help me see where i have gone wrong?

When i get chippy i am sick of using the revlimiter as my shift point.

 

according to raptors web site you should have wired it into pin 3 for Vrods but i dont know if it is the same for softails. i would double check to make sure you have the right pin wired in

 

That is what i saw and that is what my shop manual shows as well pin three. Wasnt sure if anyone added a tach or shift light and got the signal from somewhere else on this vintage of bike. I will double check the position they put it in.
