Default Stealth shift light?

I would like to add a stealth shift light to my bike. Bike does not have a tach, nor would I want to watch one, and I do not want to put one of those large lights on my bars. I have seen a lot of single led installs on cars and was curious if anyone has done or seen this done on a bike. If so can you point me in the right direction for the control. Raptor has something, that I think might work, and I am waiting on a reply from them.

Thank you.

raptor rpm activated switch will work for the light but you will have to hide the box somewhere

Thanks. I got an email back from Dynatek saying that their shift minder would work also and it looks super small. The smaller the easier to stash. I think some of these are meant for cars where space is less of an issue.

I guess the next question is where do you pull the signal from on a 2007 FXST? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I found this on the mini tach instructions online. I am guessing that it would be the same way to go.

For all other models: The tachometer signal source is
the #3 cavity in the connector [39B] on the back of the
speedometer. See Figure 5.
Follow the PACKARD ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR:
MICRO 64 instructions in the Service Manual. Insert the
socket terminal on the Pink (PK) mini-tach wire harness
signal lead into cavity #3 of connector [39B].

I found a controler from Dynatek, shift minder. It is only 1.5 inches by 1.5 inches square and 1/2 in thick. I think i could find a place to stash that.

What are you using for a light? The shift minder light looks pretty Big for a bike. I would like a shift light but I want the tiniest light I can get so it doesn't look crazy out of place. Post up some pics and how you end up doing this. I'm interested

I am looking at one of the chrome led lights that people use to light up their motors and what not. They are bright and small with generally 3 to 4 leds in each housing.

Looking at places I can place it that is in my field of view while not saying hey look at me.
