Fuel mileage 2014 Heritage Classic?
I'm trying to figure out if my fuel mileage is normal. I bought a new 2014 Heritage Classic, had a Stage 1 tune, K&N Air filter, V&H Short Shots slipons with the stock header. Last year I took a trip to the ocean for the day. Average mileage, since I don't know exact was about 135-145 between fuel stops. That averages out to about 28-30 mpg. I'm also a big guy, around 350lbs and had clothes with me in the bags, etc. I've been reading a lot about others getting in the high 30s to mid to high 40s and I don't think that's something I'm seeing. I've also read the stock header pipes have the cat inside of them and that can be obviously restricting, however, Harley swears up and down my header pipes do not have Cats. I can not be more specific about the exact amount of mileage on the trip because while down at the ocean, I tore my rotator cuff, and road the bike back home afterwards. Last thing I was thinking of was fuel mileage. Thanks guys.

You guys are about in line with what I've heard is average. But for some reason I can't figure this out. I called my dealership today and a guy I talked to, (first one to admit it), said my header pipes more than likely have some sort of restriction like a Cat inside of them. If that's the case what should my next move be? Should I put a complete exhaust on it or should I take it back to harley and have them verify the tune? Thanks for all the replies also. I do appreciate it.
