Thinking about buying their stuff. Just looking for some opinions from anyone that has worked with them, bought their stuff, quality of work and parts, etc etc.
There's a thread on here about them, not so positive.
Their prior rear fender I used took 29hrs of body work to make it nice enough to go on my bike. They say they have new fenders but I can't comment. I was not impressed.
I have not bought the fender from Shade... yet. BUT I do have alot of his brass on my bike and can tell you that his customer service over the last year has been awesome!
Brass CNC parts are one thing. But could you imagine having to pay the labor rate for nearly 30 hours of bodywork? THAT is an expensive fender.
Fortunately I was given the labour rate at cost, but still it ended up being a 2200.00 fender.
I recently bought his fender brackets for 100.00, sharp edges, bare metal, look like ****. I have to grind & file them before I have them repowdercoated. I couldn't sleep at night if I sold people crap.
Well, after talking at length to Kyle. I took the plunge.
I know the first few years of the XB yielded some less than great reviews. But I guess I am a sucker for the working guy trying to do his thing. I bought a full kit from Shadetree. Should have it in a few weeks. I will post reviews.
