Yes and no.
the bank has refunded me, but STF has a window of time to dispute it. From what it sounds like from Deidra, they want to make it right. And I don't think they will fight my refund. if they do... my lawyer says its a slam dunk win for me.

How did you go about fighting this? I called the better business bureau and everything...did your lawyer get involved at all?
Not trying to hijack the thread, just trying to give some info to Ringworm51 because I did the same thing that the OP did with an unscrupulous painter in my home state called Creek Rats Kustoms.
They were supposed to be painting my bike. Dropped tins off then later paid $1000 deposit on a Friday. Was told my paint would be starting the following Monday. A month passed with promises to start soon, going to send renderings, send us pics (which were lost more than once), etc. Finally after a month I drive to Creek Rats Kustoms to pick up my parts. When I arrive I am told my tins were being moved to the work bench 'that day', but conveniently nobody was present who could authorize a refund of my $1,000 deposit.
I get the run around for a week, before finally getting the wife of the owner on the phone and she tells me that I am not getting my deposit back. Proceeds to tell me that they were doing an Indian for John Shoppe and they weren't about to stop working on his bike to paint mine. I ask her what about when I was told it would be starting the Monday after I paid my deposit and all I got was excuses; "you were supposed to send pics, we were starting on your paint, you were supposed to talk to so-and-so about your paint," etc. Just utter bull$#%^.
So I went to my bank and filed a complaint for services not received. They took my complaint and told me it might take a while to receive the money. About a month later the money was back in my account, but like the OP, Creek Rats Kustoms had 45 days to dispute the credit. They never did. Guess they were too busy with another one of John Shoppe's bikes to care.

Greg - sorry you got burned, but glad you got your cash back. And feel free to vent on topic here as you did!
Ringworm - (love the name) basically I have not had my lawyer reach out to them as of yet. And when I say "my lawyer" a mean one that is on retainer for some of my families business, not one I keep. About the time I had my bank get involved, Deidra contacted me and was very kind and apologetic. As mentioned in other posts, she addmitted that I was handled poorly from the beginning. I had the lawyer look at the email traffic, and the pics of what I paid for versus what I received. And he laughed at the idea of them fighting it.
I have not had any contact with STF since that phone call with Deidra, but I hung up the phone feeling better and feeling like she knew me getting my money back was the right thing...
Many folks are huge STF fans... and I really wanted to be. But it didn't happen, so I am trying to make this right. Deidra knew if I had been a happy customer there would be a huge right up on how STF had been awesome, changed so far since the reviews of old! But sadly, I was mistreated and my dtails ignored from the moment I paid...
we don't think they will continue to mistreat me by fighting the refund. Hell, they have 100% of what I got, and as mentioned before, if it was no fault to them, and "all me" as Kyle insists, then they should have no issue turning profit on those parts...
I'm rambling now, (I get on a role sometimes) but the Lawyer is a rather smart one, that we trust. Not a "Call me, Im the Law Bulldog!" type you see on TV.
best of luck to everyone.
Funny thing is that Kyle told me that posting this review has actually brought him business! Which I find very hard to believe considering between the two spots here on the forum that I posted this over 3,145MEMBERS have read it, over 80 folks have commented, and unless I missed it... none are raving positive reviews. lol
(I wonder how many non members have found the review by using Google...)

Well I'm glad you got your money back bro...I have to honestly say his fender kits look like ****. Never liked them never will...I remember posting on some ones thread about getting a rear fender that would fit a 200mm rear tire and I suggested RSD or heartland the response "to expensive"..Yeah well at lesat they bolt right up and you can carry a passenger. I however bought some floorboards from him and this is how it went,,Emailed Kyle asking if he could just send me raw boards as much of my bike has the raw look he says no problem, I tell him I'm going to Laughlin in 2 weeks and need them for the run..No problem. 1 week passes by no boards I call he says did you want them powder coated? WTF I tell him raw!! he says ok I'm getting them from the guy who has the mold later today?? Anyway I finally get the damn things 3 weeks later (never did get them for Laughlin) and they won't fit my floorboard mounts so I have to get them from him he says his boards are made for crossbones why the hell wouldn't you make them to fit STOCK Harley floorboard mounts?..Any how I order the mounts from him since he gets a discount from V twin (BS). I like the boards and they look good but my god man this guy doesn't give 2 craps about customer service..you get what you pay for. He seems to be a exile with a cross of RSD wanna be. Bottom line his stuff looks like crap and obviously his customer service skills are crap too!!!

Just goes to show this kyle person is a liar. No negative review is going to make anyone give the guy any business. He should be ashamed....
