great to know about the later model fork. i believe the one i found is for 96-99. if im correct, 88-06 are virtually identical, aside from the fender mount height. im also pretty certain that the PO had the fender lowering things on it bc he said the EXACT same thing, it looked like a dirtbike. please, if anyone knows more, you might save me a big headache. i also walked away from the heritage. not only would i need to get a new front wheel, id have to get new front brake, new lines etc. and the biggest worry, was that the frame its coming off of had NO serial numbers.

It does...one of them is pretty mangled...this is the part that lowers the fender.

Appreciate it tom. Just saw your post as i was waiting to get out of work so i could rush home and grab the one i bought. It fits perfect! Its also much thicker than the original
