Got my new Fxstc on Friday and found my neck got sore at around the 60 mph mark. Been 30 years since I road last, so maybe I just need to toughen up a bit. The other option is a small windshield / deflector that won't detract from the custom appearance but still kill some off the blast. Remember seeing them back in my chopper days, but can't seem to locate any on the web. Got into 6th gear to see if it existed, which it did but under 60 really can't be used without the engine complaining. Knowing full well my bagger buddy will give me no mercy on our trips I have to find a way to keep my head ripped off from the wind blast. Forgot who mentioned it on this site, but I did have the visor on the 1/2 helmet and took it off as he suggested. It made considerable reduction in head sailing. Who'd a thunk it? Anyone have a lead for these mini windshield or is it a waist of time?

Take a look at the HD removeable. The hardware stays on the shield and leaves nothing behind when you take it off. Takes literally 30 seconds to put on and off.
The quick detachable windshield is so simple to install & remove. I've had for about 3 weeks but I'm getting too much wind from under the shield. I'm going to try the National Cycle Switchblade with their wind deflectors. The HD shield is in the classies.

I agree, I love mine. It is a little different style but also made by HARLEY DAVIDSON. Nice FATBOY BuckeyeHD. You can see my shield in the pic below. From this view, you can kind of see the bracket that holds it on.
I had been looking at a Windvest because they are so minimal and I have read a lot a good reviews on the forum. I was standing in line to register at Bikefest in Las Vegaswhen a stranger overheard me talking about them. He had bought one for his wife's sporty and she didn't like it so he gave it to mefor free(can't beat a deal like that)!.
It is a clear 14"Windvest and I put it on my standard yesterday. It has been very windy here and I have been testing it yesterday and today. Iam very happy with it and plan to leave it on the bike. I bought a HD detachable windshield soon after I bought the bike but could not get used to it. Although it does provide a lot of protection from the wind, it is so big and I got a lot ofupdraft from below. The windvest is hardly noticeable and it provides excellent protection from the wind, I can also hear my bikes exhaust really well too. If you want a good deal on the detachable let me know.
